Pastor Tom Decker

Pastor Tom Decker believes that the love of God can be most visibly seen in an active, healthy, loving church. The use of your Bible, during the sermon and in between sermons, is the heart of the development of that church!

Pastor Tom has served several years as a hospital chaplain, several more as a police chaplain, and five years as a Bible teacher at Shenandoah Valley Academy. He has led out in mission trips in Central America and Eastern Europe. He has also spent a year in Nazareth, Israel, teaching English at a mission school. He has a BA in Theology and a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University. Pastor Tom has been at Transformation Life Center since December, 1999. Before that he was a youth pastor for fifteen years at various Seventh-day Adventist churches in the United States.

The well from which Pastor Tom draws his strength and joy is his friendship with God. Those qualities are reinforced in his companionship with his wife, Gladys. Together they share their life with their two children. When he is not sharing and playing with them, you are likely to find him in his garden, or in spandex, cycling down a country road.
